Bonjour tous!
Aujourd’hui nous avons commencé Bon Voyage. C’est super! Les élèves ont lu les Français et les voyages, p.2 et nous avons étudié le vocabulaire p. 3 .
Les devoirs pour jeudi.
1.Lire dans le BLOG “Reading strategies for reading a text in French”

Reading strategies for reading a text in French
1. Determine what type of text it is ( news article, literature, advertisement…)
2. Scan headlines, bold type, pictures, defined words, questions following the text.
3. Make predictions about the topic.
4. Look for words you already know. Scan the text for

• English cognates: découvrir = discover, constituent= consist in, quête= quest
• Vocabulary you already know : les vacanciers, la planche à voile…
• Parts of words you already know.

5. Read through the text.

• Note the KEY WORDS that prevent you from understanding the text.
• These are the words that you must LOOK UP ( dictionnaire! Wordreference.com!)

6. Finally, determine and note the main idea “ ça parle de quoi?”

• Cet article parle de la/ du/ des… : this article is about…
• Ce livre parle de la/ du/ des
• Il s’agit de la/du/des…. : it is about….
